My foxie recently had a near death experience with a rare reaction to anesthetic. She ended up being under for 9 hours due to seizures caused by this rare reaction. They told us it was almost impossible for her to survive and prepare ourselves for the worst. Unbelievably our darling not only recovered but is now back to 100% avtivity. My concern was about what this all did to her gut health. She was eating her paws, scratching and had awful breath. My dog has been on Doggy Daily for just over two years and it's been the only thing that has helped her skin and ears. Recently we ran out, and I thought I'd see how she went without it. Within a couple of weeks she was licking and had yeasty infections on her paws and her ears were mucky again too. It's taken going back on Doggy Daily and taking her off all grain feed (she was half raw fed beforehand anyway) to get back control of it. It's such an affordable way to look after gut health. She has also been on relatively high dose broad spectrum antibiotics for about 20 days out of the last 6 weeks and hasn't had an upset tummy at all so I believe this having probiotics has helped with that too. She loves the taste and often has a "turmeric chin" afterwards! (as per the photo)
